SXSW complete

You’ve undoubtedly noticed that posting here has been low.  I just (quite literally) got back from South by Southwest in Austin and I’m pumped to write up a big post on the things I learned.  Until I get that done, here are some exceptional articles I read about this year’s SXSW:

  • A Groundswell at SXSW: How The Audience Revolted and Asserted Control:
    • Last year, Twitter gained traction at SXSW 2007, this year, it fully ramped up to be one of the most prominent and power shifting tools of the festival-we witnessesd a Groundswell. What’s a Groundswell? It’s a social trend in which people use technologies to get the things they need from each other, rather than from traditional institutions.
  • The top 5 things I learned at SXSW
  • Here’s why I enjoy SXSW:
    • Over the past couple of days, there have been some people hating on SXSW from far off lands. I’d like to share why I have enjoyed SXSW both last yearand this year. It’s important to remember that this is a general interactive conference, not a developer-focused conference. Designers, developers, marketers, PR, anyone involved in the interactive space are welcome to attend and participate.
